Main Responsibilities
- Leading the Device Assembly team in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) and quality issues
- Build a diversified and strong site organization with the help of the site leadership using engineering first principles and operational excellence. The SHL Charleston organization’s talent development, management, and retention strategies (and beyond)
- Assembling teams should be given defined goals to achieve the business and strategic plan’s objectives in terms of safety, quality, and the efficacy and efficiency of the equipment and processes.
- For device assembly operations, plan, organize, and manage cost-effective production strategies to satisfy production cost targets, timetables, and quality control standards.
- Interviewing and choosing subordinate personnel Establish training and development needs and make sure people are properly trained.
- being in charge of overseeing the facility’s whole gadget assembly activity on a daily basis
- It is your responsibility to make sure all assembly production activities adhere to SHL standard operating procedures, and cGMP requirements, and related quality standards.
- accountable for providing continuous monitoring and accurate reporting of all pertinent assembly operation performance KPIs
- creating and carrying out strategies to ramp up equipment to the needed target output and performance, as well as receiving and integrating new equipment into the device assembly operation.
- accountable for developing and carrying out equipment maintenance plans to maintain product quality and equipment performance.
- responsible for carrying out continuous improvement programs for device assembly in close coordination with the engineering and quality control activities of the facility.
- obtaining a prioritizing of resources and commodities that are business-focused (facility, manpower, components, packing material, etc.)
- Work together with leadership in the supply chain, quality assurance, and engineering to produce operational outcomes and to ensure prompt, effective resolution of production-related issues on a daily basis.
- Recognize and affect the packaging and device assembly production control approach.
- In the relevant region, make sure practice corresponds to protocol.
Skills and Qualification
- Engineering degree or corresponding training/experience
- In high-volume plastic and metal component assembly, production management, assembly automation, and inspection technology, you should have at least ten years of relevant expertise.
- experience in managing automated assembly operations, including scheduling laborers, managing materials, maintaining equipment, managing quality, and packaging final goods.
- experienced and knowledgeable about how to maximize Total Effective Equipment Performance.
- Several years of practical manufacturing experience in a high-volume, round-the-clock production environment
- Prior experience in a highly regulated area (such as the medical or pharmaceutical sector) and familiarity with pertinent standards (such as ISO13485 or cGMP) are definitely pluses.
- The preference is for prior Six Sigma methodology experience.
- Self-starter who is dedicated and passionate has a can-do mentality and works well in a team.
